About this School Holiday Workshop

This hands on insect and native bee hotel school holiday workshop is aimed at 7 to 12 year olds. Each participant will make a 'hotel' out of up-cycled materials that they can take home along with information sheets and advice on how to attract pollinators and other beneficial insects to the garden. All materials supplied. Children must be accompanied by and adult - accompanying adult tickets are free.

About the Facilitator

This workshop will be facilitated by Yann Toussaint from the Rainbow Coast Community Garden. Yann is a gardener, poet and sustainability educator who lives in Albany, Western Australia. A former nursery manager at Men of the Trees, where he helped found the Children's Forest, he now runs the popular "Garden Grubs" children's gardening club through the Rainbow Coast Neighbourhood Centre's Community Garden, delivers a wide range of sustainability workshops and teaches at the University of Western Australia's Albany Campus.
