About Friends of Eric Singleton Wetlands
Friends of Eric Singleton Wetlands is a newly formed group which aims to protect, restore and advocate for the wetland areas within Riverside Gardens, Bayswater. The Eric Singleton Wetlands area provides habitat to a diverse range of plant species, birdlife and native terrestrial and aquatic animals. This area includes the Eric Singleton Bird Sanctuary, the Eric Singleton West site and Lot 14, 128 King William St (also known as Carters Wetland).
Liaising with the City of Bayswater and supported by Environment House, our group intends to engage local community, with the goal of enhancing and appreciating this vital wetland habitat and the surrounding Riverside Gardens. The group intends to have a family friendly focus offering a range of restoration activities, education initiatives, and events.
